The Book & Paper Group Co-operative Training Register (CTR) are pleased to announce the next training event. Ros Buck, Icon’s Chantry Librarian, will be presenting a workshop on Practical Information Skills for Conservators.

With access to the College’s well equipped IT suite, Ros will guide participants through the many search tools, research strategies and online resources available to conservators. This will include the effective use of search engines such as AATA, BCIN and ARTSTOR, provide guidance on accessing information held on library catalogues, online glossaries, dictionaries and thesauri as well as tips for searching the websites of conservation professional bodies. There will be a strong practical element to each aspect of the course with time for participants to explore the potential of the search tools under Ros’s expert guidance.

The workshop will run at Camberwell College of Arts, 45-65 Peckham Road, London SE5 8UF from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and will cost £10. Please note this course is available only to Icon members.
